Energy and Renewable Energies Engineering
Energy Engineering Branch was established in the Electromechanical Engineering department during the year 2007-2008, then it name was changed to Energy and Renewable Energies Engineering in 2013-2014. The program specializes in graduation of applied engineers after four years of study in the jurisdiction of Energy and Renewable Energies Engineering where graduated students have familiarity and knowledge in related electrical and mechanical engineering at the same time.
The Bachelor of Engineering is a professional degree that allows graduates of the program to register in the Iraqi Engineers Association and practice the profession directly after graduation. The four-year program included one years’ study common to the major, covering basic science and engineering topics courses besides the general education topics, and then three years of specialization in Energy and Renewable Energies Engineering. The curriculum was also developed to satisfy the Iraqi requirements for licensure.
The program prepares students for different types of conventional energy and renewable energies like solar, wind, bio and other kinds of renewable energies with energy efficiency course.

3- Serve the community and industry providing educational and research resources.

Enter the energy and renewable energies engineering profession as practicing engineers and consultants with prominent companies and organizations in diverse areas that related to energy and renewable energies engineering.
Pursue graduate education and research at major research universities in Energy and Renewable Energies engineering, and related fields
Advance in their chosen fields to supervisory and management positions
Engage in continued learning through professional development
